I couldn't find this schedule on the website. If I'm not looking in the
right spot, would you tell me how to find it, and if it is not available
yet, when will it be.

Subject: Changes to GS-20
Extensive changes have been made to GS-20, Health/Medical Records in order
to comply with HIPAA regulations. Additionally, one series has been added
and
two series declared defunct.
Series 005310 Citizen Complaint Files is now retained for 6 years from last
action.
Series 005312 Directives - Reference Copies and 005313 Directives - Record
Copy are kept for 6 years after directive is last in effect.
Series 005324 Health Histories - No Treatment is kept for 6 years after
creation or receipt.
Series 005334 Laboratory Records - Lab/Pathology Reports - Lab Copies are
kept for 6 years after report is completed.
Series 005345 Nursing Home Pre-Admission Screenings are kept for 6 years
after completion of screening.
Series 012503 Patient Medical/Dental Records - Minors are retained until
minor
reaches age of majority or becomes emancipated, with a minimum retention of
6 years from last patient encounter, regardless of age.
One new series, 005386 Vital Records Program - Copies of Death Certificates
has been added.
Series 005348 Patient Medical/Dental Records - Deceased and 005350 Patient
Medical/Dental Records - Legally Incompetent are now defunct.
