Subject: Re: [DRAKE] FW: [VA-SOUTHSIDE] Slow Goin'

I haven't been online in a long time but found this interesting. "My people"
the Zapotecs here in the jungles of Oaxaca Mexico frequently walk 16 miles
in 9 hours. That is through jungle and mountains. I suspect the 16 miles I
have clocked (it takes me two hours to drive it) is shortened by faster
trails that the road doesn't follow. Up until the last couple of years I
watched the people and their way of life and felt I was in a time warp
seeing how life for my own ancestors may have been a hundred years ago. And
now, a month ago 'the internet' came to my village.
