How would dower land be transferred? We would like to find the record of
the following land being transferred to John Guy or his wife Scarborough
Guy. To whom would the land have been transferred?

William R. Guy wants to buy the land "heired of my father John Guy
containing 10 acres and my undivided proportion of my mother Scarbrough
Guy's dower in my said father's estate..."

Does this imply that both parents are dead, or that just the father, John
Guy is dead?
