Many spam blockers compare the to-address on incoming messages to the  
addresses in your email address book. So, the recognized practice is  
to include the VA-ROOTS list server address in your address book.  
Then there it is less likely to be blocked. Of course, your mileage  
may vary depending on how your email program works.
