I have been asked what info is on a widow's War of 1812 pension application and available from NARA.  

I have posted an original; Martha Midlam, "widow of Joseph Midlam, who was a Pvt. in Captain (Gawin) Henry's Company of Penna Militia" and was entered on the Pension Roll of the "Indianapolis Agency" in 1878 (there was no pension for such widows till then).  She rec'd $8.00 per month, equal to about $300.00 now.  She lived to be 92 and died in 1890.
