were in the Church of England (Episcopal) and baptism (christening) can (and
usually did) take place anytime from a few months (six months for example) old
upward. Usually there is a later confirmation process when the child is age
12 or so. Lutheran, Presbyterians, Catholics also practice infant baptism.
Baptists , of course, do not have infant baptism and wait for baptism until the
child or adult can speak for themselves as to their belief.

Nice to hear from you. So what you're saying is that if there was no
Republican party presence in a southern county, say like Raleigh County, VA,  then it
is likely that no one would vote for that party's candidate. So it would  be
like being on "the ballot" at all.
