Hi Clay and all. Check the Surry court orders for the years from 1665/70 to 1700. There will be found MANY names of heads of household chargeable for payments of the tithes on the property, and with those responsible names are the given- and surnames of the tithables under his/her charge. Paul

Of all the titheable lists I have seen I don't remember ever seeing one that
listed names of the titheables, so there is no way of knowing if she was
included or not. I do believe at some point a law was pasted with poll taxes on
everyone. Perhaps Paul Drake knows the answer as he has answered many questions
about titheables on this list.
