According to an article in People Magazine, Johnny Cash, with whom I share
ancestry is "descended from a Scottish ship captain who ferried Pilgrims
across the Atlantic in the 1600s."

The information I have is that William Cash, Sr. was born in Scotland circa
1653, probably in Strathmiglo Fife. He died circa 1708 In Westmoreland
County, VA. His will is recorded in Westmoreland County.

I am wondering if it is documented somewhere that William Cash's ship carried
Pilgrims to the New World. Has anyone else heard this story?

Thank you in advance for any information. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Mike Peters
