Hello Everyone,
Could a child around 1800 be referred still be referred to as an "orphan" of
a named individual, if that individual was a court appointed guardian,
because both of the child's natural parents were deceased?
I won't bore you with the gory details here, but suffice it to say I've got
lots of them and that it involves Bentleys, Thurmonds, Moss families
migrating from Fluvanna/Amelia Counties to Wilkes Co. Georgia.
The question is very straight forward, however, and may have multiple answers
-- all of which I am interested in.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Janet (Baugh) Hunter
