Dear List: Dabney"Carr" Slayton,Slaydon,Sladyen (many spellings) and wife
Elizabeth Bailey, residents of Goochland and/or Louisa, I believe. However,
Dabney's father, William Slayden, may have owned land on the border of the
two counties, Louisa and Goochland (I am told this border dispute still
exists). Would like to confirm Dabney's marriage to Elizabeth Bailey, and
perhaps evidence of his first child, Callum Holman Slayden,Slayton. Dabney
and his son died in Kentucky. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Stapleton Crutchfield seems to be involved in William Slayden's estate and
also Dabney's.
