Here is another site, and also notice that some states have their own register. Paul

    Subject: Register of Historical Places

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get more information
about the properties listed in the National Register of
Historical Places? The online site --maintained by the US
Parks Dept.-- has only a bare-bones listing. I'm trying
to verify that Wheatland Manor, near Fincastle, Botetourt
Co., which is listed in the Register is the same house as
Mayhew House --aka Rowland-Pitzer House-- reported by the
WPA and included in the LVA's Historical Inventory.
