The following site is invaluable. It provides both defunct places and
current ones. You can choose several different maps. There are several
results with the name London in it but none by itself in Virginia. Don't
confuse it with Loudoun County which is just west of Fairfax County in N.
VA.

http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic (Use this exact name if you save
it. Other addresses with a reference extension won't work.)

If the place you are really looking for is in WV now in the county you
indicated, then I would check in the county it is in to see if I could
determine when it was founded. This site might help:

Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Where was London, VA in 1831 and 1832?

Where was London, VA in 1831 and 1832? Was it the same as London, Kanawha
Co., WV?

Or was London renamed or is it defunct?
