Al,
Check the Courthouse in Quinque or Stanardsville. They may have the
information you are looking for.

Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Albemarle County deeds 1769-1773

Does anyone know if there is a book of deed abstracts for Albemarle County
for the period of 1769-1773? I found a book that goes through 1763.

I am looking for records of land sales by Robert Adams of 1100 acres in 1769
and another 1075 acres in 1773. I believe that most or all was in Albemarle
although some may have been in Goochland. I believe that much of the land
was in what is now Fluvanna County but prior to its formation.

I do not know if it was two transactions or multiple transactions that made
up the total acres.

I appreciate any thoughts or help.

Al Adams
