RE: Confederate POWs:

My g-grandfather was captured at Cedarville in Nov. 1864
and died in Point Lookout Prison on May 29, 1865. His name
is listed on the monument. Two or three years ago I found a notation
in prison records (online) that gave his name, prison ID #, and
a notation stating there were 2 letters from his wife in his
envelope/file/whatever. Dumb me, although I made a notation in a temporary location in my computer, I failed to put it where it was safe,
and sure enough, you guess it, I lost the file during a computer
crash caused by a virus. Many times I've tried to find the online
site with that information, but no luck. Any ideas? I'm almost
ready to think I imagined the whole thing.

Places where it isn't include the Point Lookout State Park web page.

Joanne
