There is a a Henry M Bowdon in the york County census (page 369) that is a
carpenter and is 34. In his house is a 4 year old Susan. He also owned 3 female
black slaves ages 45, 12, and 4
Also there is a William Bowdon (28) with a Mary in his household on the page
before that. He is also a carpenter. I would assume they are brothers. William
owns two female black slaves ages 14 and 13
