      South Norfolk Genealogy...

Yesterday I started this YahooGroup in the hopes of advancing
genealogy
concerning the South Norfolk area of Chesapeake Virginia. Genealogy is
a
hobby that I have pursued since 2005 and have found fascinating. My
husband was
born and raised in South Norfolk which was a county at the time of his
birth. In
1963 South Norfolk and Portlock County merged with other parts to
become
      the city of Chesapeake.
