Help Please!
      I cannot find any information about HAFAN BOWMAN, one of the 
Bowmans listed in the Index of the 1810 Patrick County, Virginia 
Personal Property Tax List *.
      He was one of eight Bowmans listed: Aaron Bowman, Gilbert Bowman, 
Hamon Bowman, Hafan  Bowman, John Bowman, John, Jr. Bowman, Leonard 
Bowman, and Robert Bowman.
      I have found additional references for all of these Bowmans except 
Hafan.
      Can anyone check the original tax lists to see if a transcription 
error occurred when the index was produced?
     Does anyone know the etiology of the name "Hafan"?
     I will be grateful for any information or leads.
