I am trying to run down more information on how my ancestor, William Cabbell, to Virginia.  An entry in the London Public Records office says that he sailed from Bristol "for John Rye" in 1723.  John had come about 1707.  I never found any subsequent record of Cabbell and Rye meeting one another.  Any info on John Rye?
