Greetings All!

The Surry County, Virginia, Historical Society is pleased to announce that
Barbara Hopper's new book, Cabin Point: The Forgotten Village, will be
available for purchase at our meeting on May 10, 2004.  Barbara will be
there to sign the books.  There will be another book signing event on May
22, 2004 at the Claremont Library in Claremont.

Cabin Point was once a thriving port on Upper Chippokes Creek. If you have
Surry County connections, chances are good that some of them involved Cabin
Point.
