Can anyone tell me the correct surname for early 1830s in the borough of
Norfolk, Virginia. In my study of handwritten records, when I've been sure
I have it correctly, it is indexed the other way. Are there families using
both spellings? I hope not. I'm not familiar with the surname in northern
Virginia.
