Here is a link to the Rutgers Library's genealogy website. Lots of good info especially on epidemics 1657 Boston to 1918 Flu epidemic and modern names of old diseases you see used on the census and old death certificates. I had a great-aunt that died of Scrofula, who would have known today that it was TB of the lymph glands. There is quite a few different names for TB depending on which body part it affected.
