From Virginia County Records SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY 1721-1800
WILLS
WILL BOOK E 1772-1798
page 39
LEAVELL, JAMES, Spotsylvania Co., d. Oct. 17, 1775. Executors Bond dated
Sept. 18, 1783. Wit. Henry Pemberton. Ex. William Pemberton. Leg. my mother;
sister Nancy Pemberton; brother John Leavell; and his children, and Edward
Leavell; brother William Leavell. (Page 545)

Would Henry Pemberton have to be at least 18 or maybe 21 before he could be
a witness?
