I recently read the book "A Tale of Two Colonies" by Prof.Virginia Bernhard, 1951. On page 107 she describes Capt. Bartholomew Gosnold's 1602 Expediton to New England, (and Cape Town area). She writes that a crew member at a dangerous "SHOAL" in the area was impressed how it affected another crew member named "TUCKER". So... they named the shoal "Tucker's Terror" I am of course very aware of Daniel Tucker and William Tucker's Jamestown and Bermuda history. I always thought they were the first Tuckers to the colony/North America. I find substantiations of Tucker's Terror but never enough to identify this Tucker. Can any of you Tucker Experts help me out?
Thanks Mike Massey
