I have a question on the 1814 Tax Records Montgomery Co Va as they were
typed from court house records .

Name of Person owning Land
Thomas Ally Sr. EXRS 350a and 110.

Exrs I assume means it was in the hands of his executors..
The Listing of the Sale of Thomas Alley Dec'd this 18th of May 1827
and
Will Book 5, page 131 Montgomery County VA
Credits paid etc Dated Dec. 3, 1832
Will book R page 511
Thomas Alley (Jr) Admr. to the estate of Thos. Alley Dec'd.
Dcd. Settlement May 18, 1828
Report of Settlement Sept Court 1828
Examined Jan. 9, 1830.

Thomas sr was on the 1813 Tac roll..so he presumably died
between 1813 and 1814..but would it have actually taken that long to settle
the estate.

There is an item on the Sums paid: Amt of Adam Alley's exam. of him 76.21
who was Adam Alley?

Thanks
M.L. Canfield
