Hi - if you are going out-of-town, and you set your email account to
"automatically" respond to each incoming email with an "I'm not here"
message:

Please "postpone" your subscriptions to VA-HIST and VA-ROOTS.  If you do
not, each time someone else posts a message to the list, your "auto-reply"
goes out to EVERYONE on the list.

I am examining the listserv software to see if I can figure out how to
filter these sort of auto-replies, but in the meantime, if you are going
away, please postpone your mail from the list, and if you have a problem
doing this, contact me directly and I will do it for you.
