We've added 6 new preliminary County indexes and 2 new preliminary City indexes to our 1790 Virginia Tax List Census. Our Master 1790 Index has also been updated. These new indexes are for Rockbridge, Rockingham, Russell, Stafford, Washington, and Wythe Counties, and the Cities of Richmond and Winchester. This adds 6,790 new names to our 1790 Index, for a total of 86,497 names. These updates can be viewed at:

We have 11 more counties to scan and index (2 of WVa and 9 of Ky) to complete our census, as time permits.
