Yes, Sally has it right. Many years ago I was able to disprove
my family's  "tale" that one of my g+grandfathers had served
in the VA House. He alternated residence between Grayson
Co VA and Ashe Co NC, just a few miles between them.
He had actually served in the NC House, 1823-24.
