Hello again to all:

I am still working diligently to find more information re: Edward Elsey &
Sarah "Sally" Thompson!

This is a story I found on Ancestry.com recently and I wonder if any of the
info or others names sounds familiar to any of you.

Please know that I really appreciate the responses I've gotten and look
forward to hearing even more!

I am doing some Elsey family research and have some paperwork(pension
application hearing) containing information on the above Thomas Hudnall. It
states: 17 Feb 1834. Athens Co Ohio. Thomas Hudnall of Alexander Township in
said County, late a soldier in Capt. Ambrose Bohannan's company, Col.
Harrison's artillery regiment, declares he was acquainted with Edward Elsey
who was a soldier in the Virginia Legion, particularly at the siege of
Yorktown. At the close of the war Edward Elsey married a cousin of the
Deponent (Thomas Hudnall) wife William Stricker (that is how is is spelled
on the sheet - could be Strickler, but anyway was wounded by a cannon ball
in his shoulder. fyi hope this helps someone.
