When my ancesters, THOMAS WILKINSON, JR., and his father, THOMAS WILKINSON,
SR., signed up in in December 1776, in Sussex Co., VA., to serve in the 15th
VA. Infantry, Continental Line. They were accompanied by Barnabas Wilkinson,
who became a "Sergeant", and was eventually discharged by Col. James Wood in
Dec 1779.. I have never been able to figure out how they were related, or even
who Barnabas Wilkinson was. Does anybody out there know?
