They had at least 5 children, I know nothing of 2 boys, John, James.

Lucy ATKINS m. Thos ALMOND, the grandparents of GOV. Lindsey ALMOND.
Margaret ATKINS(Maggie)m."..?.. DETTOR".
My problem; a Margaret Virginia DETTOR is said to have had the NEWMAN family
bible which originated with William(Uncle Billy)NEWMAN,1744-1843.
I would like to know if someone in the DETTOR family still has this bible,
or it has been donated to some institution??? William was a Rev. War Vet.
Although the Dettors were originally from Orange, my mother knew "Aunt
Maggie" and had visited some of the Dettors in CHARLOTTESVILLE in the late
1970s or early 1980s.
I am a "double" Newman in that my line also goes thru JamesNEWMAN,1732-1816,
who was Uncle Billy's brother.
I am researching both branches of this Newman family.
