The index to the chancery records of Rockbridge Co. from 1781-1859 has been
added to
the Library of Virginia's Chancery Record Index Web site.  Post-1859
Rockbridge Co. records will be posted at a later date.  Rockbridge Co. is in
the Central Blue Ridge region which adds it to the records of two other
localities available for searching in that region:
Bath Co. and Roanoke Co.  The Rockbridge Co. records have not yet been
microfilmed so
you must come to the Library of Virginia in order to view the original
records.

Please be sure to check the "What's Available" page of the Chancery Records
Index to see all the localities that have been added to the Index in the
past year and a half.

homepage at http://www.lva.lib.va.us/, click on "Index", click on "C", and
then click on "Chancery Records Index."
