I highly suggest that the Family History Library in Salt Lake City be
contacted. I cannot speak for their policies, but I recently found my
maternal grandmother's cousins' lifetime genealogy work in the FHL. All
2,000 pages are in a microfilm of his typed genealogy, hand written
notes and documents he accumulated over 60 to 70 years. This was a real
find for me as it took my maternal grandmother's line back to the late
1400's in Oldenburg Germany. The FHL makes finding that the information
exists easy with their on-line index. The microfilm is easy to obtain
through their low cost (shipping & handling) Family History Centers loan
policy.

Very few libraries have on-line indexes of genealogy information making
it difficult to find the data. Most of the original documentation is
not available through the regular inter-library loan system making
access difficult unless you live near by the library.

Perhaps the lady can get a copy of it into the FHL and the original to a
library. Some day someone will be thanking her for her work. Even if
the FHL sells a copy, if they still make the information available
through their loan system it seems the best solution at this time in
history.
