Chuck was commenting on the Levirate Law from the Bible where a brother was required to marry his brother's widow if there were no male heirs. The first born son of this marriage was considered the dead brother's child and heir. See Deut. 25 5-10. He is correct in that it did not matter if the brother was already married. You could have more than one wife then.
