The following couple are my gggg-grandparents,  we have never been able to 
determine from whom Amos Roberts descends, this brick wall has hindered the 
family research for 30 or more years.  Any clues?

 AMOS1 ROBERTS was born Abt. 1778 in Virginia, and died November 1840 in 
Weakley Co., Tennessee. He married ELIZABETH DEER December 29, 1802 in 
Madison Co., Virginia, daughter of JOHANNES DEER and MARIA BLANKENBAKER.


Children of AMOS ROBERTS and ELIZABETH DEER are:

i. REUBEN2 ROBERTS, b. June 10, 1808, Madison Co., Virginia; d. January 03, 
1887, Williamson Co., Illinois; m. REBECCA GOODALL, October 27, 1831, 
Madison Co., Virginia; b. April 27, 1807, Madison Co., Virginia; d. March 
26, 1878, Williamson Co., Illinois.

ii. GIRL ROBERTS, m. JAMES SIMMONS, Dunklin Co., Missouri.

iii. JAMES ROBERTS.

iv. JOHN J. ROBERTS, b. December 19, 1803, Virginia; d. April 06, 1850, 
Weakley Co., Tennessee; m. HARRIET MAYBERRY, January 20, 1830, Madison Co., 
Virginia; b. June 14, 1809, Virginia; d. July 25, 1889, Weakley Co., 
Tennessee.

v. JEREMIAH ROBERTS, b. Abt. 1810, Virginia; d. Abt. 1857, Weakley Co., 
Tennessee; m. FRANCES MOOBRY, February 11, 1834, Madison Co., Virginia; b. 
Abt. 1810.

vi. THOMAS ROBERTS, b. 1822, Virginia; m. MATILDA, 1846; b. 1822, Kentucky.
