"Straight to the Source" Conference Set for March 27, 2015


Four Library of Virginia staff members will speak on specialized research topics at the Friends of the Virginia State Archives 23rd annual Straight to the Source Conference to be held at the Library on Friday, March 27. Pre-registration is required; attendance is limited to 75 people. Registration closes on March 20, 2015. The conference begins at 9:15 AM and ends at 3:00 PM.

Topics this year include techniques for effective use of the Library of Virginia's website, a discussion of lesser known sources for Virginia Revolutionary War research, stories drawn from an innovative project to make Montogomery County chancery court records available, and an invitation to dig deep into the Library's collection and transcribe historical materials.

The cost is $35 for Friends members, $50 for non-members, and includes a box lunch. Please make checks payable to: Friends of the Virginia State Archives.
