The Friends of the Virginia State Archives host the 10th Annual Richard 
Slatten lecture at the Library of Virginia on Saturday, November 7th, 2009, 
from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

This year's nationally known lecturer is Richard G. Sayre, CG, MA.  Sayre will 
speak on genealogical uses of urban mapping tools, using topographic maps to 
solve genealogical problems, researching Revolutionary War soldiers, and 
research uses of the Territorial Papers of the United States.  

Registration is $25.00 for members of the Friends, $35.00 for non-members.  
Lunch is included in the cost if preregistration is received by October 30.  Mail 
registration to Friends of the Archives, PO Box 4804, Richmond, VA 23220.
