I have never, ever considered the term Newbie to be a negative term. I think
that it is thrown into the conversation occasionally to remind some people
who are taking over the heads of others that there are New Researchers on this
and most lists and that we should take the time to explain things and not
assume that everyone knows everything. I don't think that the time ever comes
when any of us know it all and that is what keeps most of us on these lists.
I know that with many of my ancestors being from Mars I am not going to find
them or any clues about them here. <g>

However, I learn something every day. After 11 years of research.

Julia

That said, I would implore all
you "old hands" to remember what it was like in the beginning of your
journey, limit the use of the term "newbie" and its negative connotation
