Does anyone know the final burial place of Alice (Lee) Shippen?? She married
William Shippen, Jr MD and it was at the Shippen home in Philadelphia that
many of Continental Congress delegates dined, met, etc. When she died in 1817,
she was first buried in the Arch St. Cemetery in Phila. but years later when
that cemetery was being renovated, the Shippen monument and Shippen bones
were moved. Does anyone know

1. what was on the first monument?
2. what cemetery was final resting place for Alice and if there is a
monument to her there?
