Ms. Nel: . I do not believe this is an original.  The entry above it on the same page reveals that these - both entries -  are the work/writings of the Clerk of that Court, and not original documents.  Still, that makes it no less delightful, since without doubt the original was long ago destroyed or sent to the VA archives by Henrico County during the 19th century.   I have no doubt but that the name of old William was Hatcher, and the document is VERY interesting.  Thanks for the scan; it is a treasure for you and your family, and they are indebted to you for your fine research.  Paul
