Does VA have records from Yohogania, Monongalia, and Ohio counties, which
were made from West Augusta District in 1775?

VA and PA had been simultaneously creating counties on the same land, which
is now PA. Most of Westmoreland county PA was on the same land as West
Augusta District VA. VA gave up these counties when the PA-VA border dispute
was resolved in 1779, but they were not formally eliminated until 1786 after
the boundaries were surveyed in 1784-85.
