Yup, you are probably right, I doubt that any of these particular transportees were "servants" unless perhaps they were runaways, adventurers, or other such non-priviledged 2nd, 3rd, 12th-born sons actually seeking to apprentice and learn a trade, and so on.  Maybe that's where I am getting mixed up, with indentured service laws, (& the fact that I was reading my mail from most current back to well I don't want to confess when I last read my mail.)

My understanding was more along the lines of the transporting of Any Persons;
[you received the 50 acres per if you managed to convince any of your rag-tag cousins, former neighbors, a-n-y-o-n-e you knew, to cross the Big Pond and help settle this mosquito-infested swamp, no?]

Thankyou for responding.  I think we can assume some things from these early records (Woodhouse maybe and Warren were here, or at least Watkins by that time anyway since his property line was used as a surveyer's point of reference.
