  I am posting this for a friend who is not on the list.  She is
  attempting to gain membership in the DAR.  Here is her message:

  "I am seeking any document linking Leroy DAINGERFIELD of Essex County,
  VA, and/or his wife, Elizabeth PARKER, of Westmoreland Co., VA, with
  their son, Lawrence Lewis Butler DAINGERFIELD.  Leroy and Elizabeth
  were married in 1778 (other information gives the marriage date as
  Oct. 17, 1786), in Westmoreland Co.  Elizabeth was the daughter of
  Judge Richard PARKER (1752?-1813) of Westmoreland Co.

  "Lawrence DAINGERFIELD married Eleanor CHENOWETH and moved to
  Greencastle Township, Putman Co., Indiana.  Lawrence and Eleanor are
  listed on the 1850 census there.

  "I have no link other than family history connecting Leroy to
  Lawrence.  If you can help with documentary evidence, or suggestions
