All of this Irish talk made me think about my McSherry line that I have done nothing with for 25 years. Phillip and sister Elizabeth Obedience McSherry came to Halifax Co., Va and settled there along the NC border of Person and Caswell Counties circa 1830 - 1845. Tradition has it that they left three brothers in Ireland and came to America with Ryan's and worked as stonemasons of the railroad. They may have entered the US. from Maryland. Some went to the Boston area around the early 1900s. I found an address in the family bible dated 1862, County Monaghan, district Castleshane. Any connections????

Thank you.

Frank
