The index to the chancery records of Brunswick Co., available at the
Library of Virginia's Chancery Records Index Web site, has been updated to
include the post-1905 chancery records. The records span from 1781-1942.
Brunswick Co. is in the Southeastern Piedmont region which adds it to the
records of one other locality available for searching in that region:
Mecklenburg Co. The Brunswick Co. records have not yet been microfilmed so
you must come to the Library of Virginia in order to view the original
records.

Please be sure to check the "What's Available" page of the Chancery Records
Index to see all the localities that have been added to the Index in the
past year. We will try to post each new addition to the Index.

To access the Chancery Records Index, visit the Library of Virginia's
homepage at http://www.lva.lib.va.us/, click on "Index", click on "C", and
then click on "Chancery Records Index."
