HI,
I'm not sure how long it can be stored. My uncle donated a sample back in
2006. He is now deceased. I spoke with FTDNA and they inferred that his
sample could still be used. You may want to give them a call.
Linda

Subject: [VA-ROOTS] DNA

Is there a way/location to leave your DNA for the future.....much like you
do for sperm and embryos? I'd like for it to be available when science
has progressed to a place when all these females in my lines will no longer
hinder things AND at a time when my children decide to take some interest
in our family history. As old as they are, their eyes still glaze over at
the mention of their past. It is always an "oh there goes mother again"
moment when the subject of who begat whom comes up.
(Also when the testing becomes routine enough to be more affordable.)
Wishful thinking???
M. Preston
