Greetings,
In the 1900 Census, Halifax County, Bannister District was listed Afro
American:

Plenty, Henrietta, Black female, b. Apl 1870, 30y old, widowed, VA VA VA
having had 1 child. Va, Va, Va.
Plenty, Annie dau, b. Jan 1895 Va, Va, Va,

Henrietta was a Servant living in the home of a white man named Edgar Walker.

The parents of Henrietta were Henry d. 1880, and Susan d. 1879. Apparently,
Plenty was the maiden name of Henrietta, so she might not have been married
to
the father of Annie listed above.

Henrietta later m. Daniel Chappell Nov 1910.
Dan 78y, and Henrietta 42y were listed in the 1930 Census in Meadsville VA

Any help out there?
Thanks in advance,
Larry
