Searching for information that would lead me to the parents and siblings of
WILLIAM NORTHCUTT born c.1760 VA, d.1839 SC. William served in the
Revolution from SC. Married 1st to ELIZABETH ADAMS "of VA" probably c.1780
and second to ELIZABETH STEWART c.1783. William lived in Darlington
District, SC. There was a Robert Northcutt who signed a petition in Salem,
SC in 1797 but have no idea how or if related to William. Do not know when
William would have arrived in SC from VA. Nothing is known about William's
first wife other than her name and that she was from VA. William's
birthplace comes from his daughters' census responses. Do not know which
county in VA he was from. All of William's children seem to come from his
second wife. They were:
1) Martha Northcutt - c.1784 m.John Ira Parnell
2) Robert Northcutt - c.1785 m.Elizabeth King
3) William Nelson Northcutt - 16 November 1788 m.Kesiah Beasley
4) John Northcutt - 21 August 1790 m1.Susannah Harrell m2.Ann Wade Menees
5) Elizabeth Northcutt - 17 February 1795 m.Uriah Atkinson
6) Rispah Northcutt - June 1797 m.Nathan M. Galloway
7) Daughter Northcutt - c.1800 (23 August 1799) m.Lazarus Hudson
8) Milly Northcutt - November 27, 1801 m.Thomas Atkinson
9) Lacy Northcutt - 3 May 1804 m.Elisha Bryant
10) Mary Alice Northcutt - c.1804 m.William King
11) Nancy Northcutt - October 1792 m.Jesse Atkinson
12) Willoughby Webster Northcutt - c.1813 m.Isabel Newman

Perhaps the naming pattern of the children will sound familiar to other
Northcutt families. Have done early research on the Northcutt family in VA
trying to go from earliest to see if I can find a bridge to my William
Northcutt but thus far have found no links. Any help appreciated.
