Paul go to bcgcertification.org and you will find a web site. Lynn Macmillan
is the executive director and can help you with your questions as to who the
officers and board of directors are. There are within this site many places
that will answer your questions and tell you the requirements of each category.
FYI the LDS gave up their certification and BCG offered an opportunity for
those who passed their certification to become Certified by BCG. They offered CGRS
[Certified Genealogical Records Specialists] because it was the closest to
what we have. I believe but am not sure of this that Utah Genealogical Society
has started a certification process. Perhaps others lurking on the list will
jump in and share. Margaret
Margaret R. Amundson, CGsm is a service mark of the Board for Certification
of Genealogists, used under license by Board-certified associates after
periodic proficiency evaluations.
