I think you have one Hardaway McGruder and two wives.   In 1850 Hardaway 
is living with his family with what appear to be two children the 
youngest is 4 - No wife that I can see.  Susan E is not with Milton P 
and Elizabeth in 1850, but Susan A is living with Elizabeth Street 
Atkinson as an Atkinson.  In 1860 no Hardaway and Susan A is back home 
with Mom as a McGruder.   Also with her  in 1870.
