I am glad I could help.  Most every man who lived outside the "town" (and
many within) had a horse or mule; even those who had very little money.

I love that web page, thank you. I was concerned about how my ancestor could
have been a ranger if it required a horse and equipment as he most likely
could not afford those things. I had no idea that rangers still existed in
MD, again, you have been quite helpful.
